This position will be responsible for all aspects of in vitro biology including assay development, mechanism of **** studies, clinical pharmacology and correlative study, and management of publications and external collaborations. We highly encourage publishing in high quality scientific journal.
- The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the field of immunology, particularly tumor immunology to lead discovery research efforts in tumor immunology.
- To be responsible for envisioning and implementing the strategy to establish and deliver high quality of tumor immunology research
- Design and perform research in target discovery and validation.
- Establish and run in vivo tumor models.
- Develop and perform in vitro immunoassays including primary lymphocyte cultures, antibody characterization, etc.
- Stay abreast of latest scientific and technology advancements in the field.
- Attend team meetings and deliver clear and well prepared presentations. Be an active participant in discussions.
Requirements: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in immunology, cancer immunology, or related field with at least 5-10 years of overall experience, (may include post-doctoral experience). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience in the fields of immuno-oncology on (and preferably leading) drug discovery and/or development programs. . The ****ed individual will manage a team of scientists and research associates, and will present project updates to Sr. Management and other audiences. Experience on starting labs, managing other scientists and CROs is highly prized. Leadership, a high level of scientific integrity and transparency, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and collaboration with other groups are all necessities for this role.
- Experience developing mechanism-based immune cell based assay
- Extensive hands on experience in basic immunology in vitro techniques including flow cytometry, cytokine analysis, cytotoxicity and proliferation assays, etc.
- Strong leadership skills and a high degree of independence
- To direct multiple groups of immunologists and technicians in the establishment of drug discovery programs.
- Experience mentoring and leading PhD-level direct reports
- The candidate is expected to have outstanding communication (oral and written) and to be able to present to a wide variety of audiences
- He/she will enjoy working as a member of a fast-paced multidisciplinary team in an entrepreneurial environment.
